Life Recipe: Lift your emotional state at the start of everyday and actually look forward to waking up every morning.

  1. Miracle Morning book by Hal Elrod

The concept of the book is that there are six things that we all know support our well being and promote our personal growth but we don’t necessarily make time for them. Those things are meditating, affirmations, visualization, exercise, reading and writing. The concept that he’s put together is that if you just wake up and hour early that you do normally and you spend ten minutes and do those things.

I lift my emotional state right at the beginning of the day and I’m able to confront much more and feel filled up. It doesn’t even have to be an hour—you only need 10-15 minutes. Get yourself a book, pen and paper, and write your affirmation. It could be as easy as ‘I am enough’ and envision yourself on beach with a smile on your face. You’re going to experience a snowballing effect in an upward direction. I have definitely experienced that. – Diana Shea

Quotes from the interview

The number one thing I do for myself right now is waking up early.

We think as parents that we are teaching them stuff but really they are the true teachers. Teaching me to grow myself as a mom.
